Shohei Ohtani Props

Ohtani’s getting the start tonight in LA. It’s his first career postseason home start. He’s been pitching great owning a 1.40 ERA with 36 strikeouts in his last five starts. I lean to the over 6.5 Ks (-104). It feels so inflated, but he punched out eight and nine in two of his last three home starts and two of his last three overall starts (which were on the road against Arizona and Philly). Through the last three games, Milwaukee has struck out 10, 7 and 8 times.

Ohtani has been going over his outs prop (15.5 today) registering 18 outs in his last two starts. You could take that route as well after Dodgers manager Dave Roberts used his pen yesterday to cover the last three innings. Maybe he lets Shohei cook in hopes of a long time off if they win? They are also up 3-0, so Shohei could have a little more wiggle room. My fear is always the Brewers bats. I know they have been struggling this postseason, but this is still the best hitting road team in MLB this year.

The prop that’s spot on is hits allowed. Shohei has allowed under 3.5 hits in six of seven home starts, but remember, he wasn’t going as deep into games then. Milwaukee is also averaging 3.3 hits per starter. No interest in this market.
