Welcome back to the board.
Today's newsletter is a good one to pay attention to because the board looks more complicated than it actually is. There's a Sharp Zone play I feel genuinely good about — a road lefty facing a lineup that has been one of the best over matchups for southpaws all season. The Caution Zone has some interesting tension, including two pitchers facing lineups they just saw recently where I'll explain exactly why the rematch history changes how I'm reading the number. The Danger Zone tonight has three numbers — two of them are rematch situations I want no part of and one that the book seems to have priced specifically to catch people who have been riding a narrative all season. Let's get into it.
As always — this is information, not a picks service. Take what fits your process and leave what doesn't.
Sharp Zone
These are numbers where market logic, matchup data and player usage align.
The edge still exists. These are the cleanest looks on the board.
Caution Zone
The data supports the play, but something is holding me back— prior matchup, recent spike, injury uncertainty or the number itself. These are playable, but you should know why the book is tempting you. Remember, this doesn’t mean no bet, it means maybe the one problem I care about is not something you worry about.
Danger Zone
These are fishy lines. Either too low, too high or sitting where books expect public mistakes. The stats may look great — that’s the trap. These require restraint or smaller exposure.
