Happy Friday! Earlier, premium subscribers got the morning action for the afternoon slate. Below is information for the night slate. Since college basketball isn’t really “my thing” I have one of my favorite college basketball handicappers Mid Major Matt helping out. (He’s also going to be a HUGE help in the baseball props market).

Odds vs. Seeding Discrepancies

I did this yesterday and I’ll do it again today. Usually a few games each round have odds that don’t correlate with the NCAA’s seeding. I love when this happens. It’s like a fishy line in other sports and forces me to look closer at the game.

#8 UConn -5.5 vs. #9 Oklahoma

  • Yes, UConn is the higher seed and favored, but 5.5 is a pretty large spread considering the #8 vs. #9 matchup. For example, earlier today #8 Mississippi State was just a 1.5-point favorite over #9 Baylor.

  • UConn enters the tournament as two-time reigning National Champions.

  • The Huskies have a notable size advantage ranking 48th nationally in height. They average almost 36 points in the paint per contest.

  • Oklahoma has struggled defensively against larger teams allowing opponents to shoot 54.9 percent on two-point attempts and allowing 33 points in the paint per game.

  • UConn excels rebounding, especially on the offensive glass, averaging 9.7 offensive rebounds per game. Oklahoma ranks 324th in offensive rebounding.

  • Comparing the defenses, UConn ranks 68th in scoring defense allowing 68 ppg, while Oklahoma ranks 267th allowing 74.8 ppg.

🔥 BETTING TIPS FOR MARCH MADNESS

#16 Norfolk State vs. #1 Florida

Florida -28.5

Total 153.5

Florida has a tremendous three point defense and Norfolk State barely takes any yet there's some value on Christian Ings over 0.5 3's. The senior shoots almost 47% from long range and has made one three in 21 of 34 games.

#10 New Mexico vs. #7 Marquette

Marquette -3.5

Total 151.5

Marquette is allowing over 60% of the baskets scored against them to be assisted. That plays right into Donovan Dent who has a top 25 assist rate in college basketball. Dent's rebounding prop is interesting too as the number is 2.5 in a lot of places. He's gone under that in six straight and 20 of 32 games overall.

#9 Oklahoma vs. #8 UConn

UConn -5.5

Total 147.5

UConn is a very good rebounding team which is a huge advantage over the Sooners who are ranked 277th in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentage.
