🏀 The Prop Queen Newsletter

Afternoon Basketball Edition

Happy Friday PQ subscribers! Let’s get the weekend started on a high note. Jalen Brunson was announced OUT tonight with an ankle sprain after hurting it in last night’s overtime loss to the Lakers. I’ve got a prop chart below showing how the Knicks do on back-to-backs in addition to without Brunson.

A prop that moved since this mornings premium newsletter Keegan Murray over 5.5 rebounds is now up to 6.5. That analysis is below.

Free subscribers will get access to a Cavaliers at Hornets breakdown. Only basic and premium subscribers can see today’s entire newsletter including games:

About Last Night…

Where the PQ Newsletter was RIGHT:

  • Paolo Banchero went under his points prop of 26.5 with 20 points.

  • The 76ers bigs struggled against the Celtics:

    • Andre Drummond went under his 10.5 points prop with 9 pts and under his 10.5 rebounds prop with 10 rebounds.

    • Guerschon Yabusele went under his 13.5 points prop with 4 points and under his 6.5 rebounds prop with 4 rebounds.

  • Karl-Anthony Towns went over his rebounds prop of 11.5 with 14 boards.

  • Knicks forward OG Anunoby went over his 15.5 points prop with 20 points.

Where the PQ Newsletter was WRONG:

  • Magic’s SF Franz Wagner did not go over his points prop that went up from 25.5 to 28.5 yesterday. He had 18 points.

  • Rockets forward Amen Thompson did not go under his points prop of 16.5 racking up 21 points.

  • Josh Hart did not have a bad second game against the Lakers, going over his 13.5 points prop with 18 points.

Trees vs. Hornets

Bringing back the Trees versus bottom 10 rebounding teams chart. The Hornets have allowed the eighth most rebounds per game this season and second most since the All-Star Break. Here’s how the Cleveland bigs do in those spots:

Here are the last five games against the Hornets:

Vs. MIN: PF Randle 10 / PF McDaniels 10 / C Reid 10

Vs. WAS: G Coulibaly 7 / SF Middleton 5 / G Carrington 5

@ DAL: C Brown 11 / PG Kyrie 9 / SF Marshall 9

@ GSW: SF Butler 8 / PF Green 6 / G Podz 5

There are a lot of rebounds to go around. My eyes shift though to Mobley’s points. I know I said this the last game against Miami and Mobley just went under his points prop by a bucket, but his averages are higher than his prop in these spots.

Plus, power forwards have had success recently against the Hornets. With Charlotte’s center Mark Williams out with a foot injury, Nurkic will be on Allen. Whoever is on Mobley will be a complete mismatch. Here are the trees numbers this season in three games against the Hornets:
