Afternoon Edition
Happy Tuesday! In today’s newsletter, FREE subscribers will get Mid Major Matt’s MLB futures (make sure to give him a follow). It’s a sharp market if you wanted to dabble in it.
There are eight NBA games tonight with three teams on the second leg of a back-to-back (Orlando, Dallas and Sacramento).
With the Mavericks and Kings bringing back stars Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis last night, I’ll probably stay away from those teams today. AD is on a minutes restriction and is not expected to play tonight. There is a way to take advantage of the Knicks though 👀
Below are some helpful tools for your handicapping for some other games around the NBA.

About Last Night…
Where the PQ Newsletter was RIGHT:
Pelicans’ props that went under: Alvarado went under his 13.5 points prop with 9 points. Hawkins went under his 20.5 points prop with 9 points.
According to yesterday’s chart of “stats without Nikola Jokic,” Michael Porter Jr. goes under his 19.5 points prop with 16 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo went under his 12.5 rebounds prop grabbing 10 boards.
Bucks center Brook Lopez had another great offensive night without Damian Lillard. Lopez racked up 23 points going over his 13.5 points prop.
Where the PQ Newsletter was WRONG:
Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton did not go under his 9.5 assist prop. He had 11 assists.
LeBron James did not go over his 7.5 rebounds prop. He had 6.
Bucks Kyle Kuzma did not go over his 15.5 points prop just going under with 15 points.
MATT’S CORNER
MLB LONGEST WIN STREAK FUTURES
When it comes to baseball futures, my strategy is to both play props that I think will win and speculate on other ones with smaller bets but bigger payoffs. You'll notice with some of the wagers, my reasoning is just price value. With that, let's take a look at a few of my favorite plays.
🔥 Marlins Under 4.5 wins longest streak (+140)
MGM & DRAFTKINGS
The Marlins had two four game win streaks last year. Their pitching rotation is pretty solid, but there are injury concerns with this group. Their lineup has gotten worse from last season and I think at this price, it's definitely worth a look. Granted it would be a smaller wager, but +140 is crazy for a bet that would have won last season.
🔥 Tigers Under 6.5 wins longest streak (+120)
DRAFTKINGS
The Tigers had two six game win streaks last year so this bet would have won last season. Their rotation is definitely solid and so is the bullpen, but this lineup just doesn't scare me a ton and this is a tough division as well. Smaller wager, but something I'd put on my card.
🔥 Reds Under 6.5 losses longest streak (+125)
DRAFTKINGS
The Reds did have an eight game losing streak last year, but they upgraded the rotation with Brady Singer and hopefully will not have to use as many SP's as they did in 2024.
🔥 A's Under 7.5 losses longest streak (-145)
DRAFTKINGS
The A's went over this twice last season, but they've improved their rotation. It's scary that they don't really have a great home, but I just don't see that happening again in 2025.
