🔥 MISSISSIPPI STATE @ SOUTHERN MISS

It's a rare trip to Sun Belt country for an SEC school. This contest was scheduled eight years ago as part of a home and home agreement. Weather could be an issue here and a lightning delay could help the underdog stop the momentum of the Bulldogs if they get out a lead. Watch out for the Golden Eagles who basically took all of Marshall's good players when Charles Huff took the job.

🔥 NORTHWESTERN @ TULANE

It's amazing how an outlook changes for a team when they get a legitimate quarterback. Northwestern brought in Preston Stone from SMU and a very good offensive coordinator from South Dakota State. The Wildcats have seen a lot of money come in and I agree with the move although at 4.5 and 5 it's in a dead zone. The interesting factor here is the chance of storms which means lightning delays. That makes handicapping a little harder because teams have to wait in the locker room for when it's over.

Penn State is an over 40 point favorite in this game against the Wolf Pack. The Nittany Lions have been in this situation three times over the last two seasons and have covered all three contests against UMass, Delaware and Kent State. James Franklin 100% knows the number and will do what he can to cover.
