Oklahoma @ Temple
In between Michigan and Auburn home games
The Sooners have been fantastic this year so far, but this is a very sleepy spot. Oklahoma is coming off College Gameday and Michigan and have a home contest against Auburn up next. They crushed Temple 51-3 last year at home and will be playing in front of a crowd that won't be at its best. The Owls have played better this season, but against UMass and Howard. This could be close early, but OU will pull away late. The question is if the back door is open.
Missouri vs. Louisiana
In between Kansas and South Carolina Home Games
The Tigers are coming off their huge in-state rivalry with the Jayhawks and begin conference play next week vs. South Carolina. Last year the Tigers beat BC 27-21 before their SEC opener as 14 point favorites. Louisiana is a decent Sun Belt team who could make things interesting even though they lost their starting QB for the season.
Illinois vs. Western Michigan
In between road games at Duke and Indiana
The Illini were very impressive in Durham last week and have a huge opener against the Hoosiers on the road next week. In this situation last year Illinois beat Central Michigan 30-9 as a 21 point favorite. The Broncos showed some defense vs. Michigan State week one and some offense vs. North Texas in week two.
SMU at Missouri State
In between loss to Baylor in 2 OT and the Iron Skillet battle at TCU
Missouri State gave up over 70 points to USC and is coming off a huge win at Marshall. The Mustangs should be able to name their score here, but with the rivalry game next week, who knows who will be playing in the 4th quarter. Maybe an over here although you'll need the home team to add something too. An intriguing aspect here is that SMU's starting QB was once a commit to Missouri State as well.
